The AXP Motor Protection Glide Plate serves as an underride protection and protects the engine from hard blows and stones. It is made of 6mm thick HDPE polyethylene. If the motocross frame hits the ground after short jumps or whoops, the bash plate allows - as the name suggeste - easier glide on the ground.
